He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Kanerva and Evelyn Kanerva. He is survived by: his wife Melanie Kanerva; his children, Eric (Riita), Donna, Myrna, Elaine (Urban) and Marc; the mother of his children Mary Kanerva; and his siblings, Bob (late Anna), Ray (Judy), Carol (Nelson Conroy), Allan (Tara) and Cathy (Bob MacDonald). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
