She was predeceased by: her parents, Emery Comtois and Diana Comtois; her children, Denise Menard and John Jr.; and her siblings, Yvonne, Émile (late Yolande), Isidore Comtois (Anne), Thérèse Lajeunesse (Léo), Lucien, Rhéal Comtois (Diane), Réjeanne Houle (Omer) and Lise Myre (Andy).
She is survived by: her husband Jean Louis "John" Menard; her children, Michelle Gareau (Mike), Giselle Trahan (Gary), Gilles Menard (Sylvia) and Donald Menard (Leslie); and her siblings, Béatrice Nadon (Aimé), Marie-Anne Rondeau (Maurice), Angèle Rancourt (Richard), Cécile Radno (late George), Lily Ménard (Denis) and Venance Comtois (Claudette). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
