He was predeceased by: his grandson Bradley; his parents, Giuseppe De Paolis and Pasqualina Schiavone; his sister Filomena; and his nephew Carmine Palumbo (Nunzia Archidiacono).

He is survived by: his wife Maria De Paolis; his children, Lina De Paolis (Ian MacMullin), Joe (Debbie), Mario (Mary Montgomery) and Lenny (Shelley); his grandchildren, Reta-Marie, Joel (Nicole), Andrea (Seb Asselin), Darren (Isabella Sousa) and Marina; his great grandchildren, Olivia and Ruby; and his sibling's child Foggia.
