She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Taylor and Lois Taylor; and her siblings, Peggy, Lillian, Allister, Douglas, Roy and Bruce.

She is survived by: her husband Irvin Essensa; her children, David (Jaana) of Sudbury, Lois of Sudbury, Todd (Paula) of Lively and Wade (Wendy) of Chelmsford; her grandchildren, Altiera, Drew, Angie, Jonathon, Shelbey and Thomas; and her sister Joyce Benoit.
