He was predeceased by: his son Hilja Maki (Makela). He is survived by: his spouse Seija Maki (Anttila); his children, Kevin (Jo-Anne), Brian (Pauline) and Lisa (Andre); his grandchildren, Brianna, Kyla, Ben and Brett; and his siblings, Kathy (Richard), Kauko (Lois), Gertrude (late Moe), Paul and Anne (Pete). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
