He was predeceased by: his daughters, Donna Johnson (Art) and Lori Harvey (Larry); and his sister Joy. He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Terry Ruttan, Judy Ruttan (Pat Cronin), Shelley Legault (Lionel) and Nancy Beland (Raymond); his stepchildren, Linda Hirvi (Reino), Susan Charlebois (Jack Larrent), Karen Carriere, Boyd McKinley (Caroline), Danny Ramsay and Rochelle Howlett (Michael); and his siblings, Willy, Jean Yates (late William), Joan Marshal (Andrew), Merle Smart (David) and Mae Vavoid (Robert Jackson). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations to All Nations Church would be appreciated.
