Walter Joseph Herd Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 7, 2025, at the age of 81, Walter Joseph Herd (Sudbury, Ontario) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Walter Joseph Herd to pay them a last tribute.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Walter is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Walter's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his children, Christine Herd (Dennis Quesnel) of Orangeville and Steve Herd (Cindy Carefoote) of Oshawa; the mother of his children Susan Amber McPherson (Herd); his parents, John William "Bill" and Charlotte Mildred Herd; and his close friend Fred Brearley.

He is survived by: his sister Boll (Charles "Charlie" Ulrich) of Ingersoll; and his close friends, Betty Miller-Pickering and Jim Denholm. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Walter decided to donate his remains to the Human Anatomy Program at the University of Guelph, Ontario.
