We are sad to announce that, on March 10, 2022, at the age of 85, Walter Joseph Saftic of Sudbury, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mirco and Augustina; his child Baby Cathy; and his parents-in-law, Dick, Bethia McCauley, Margaret, Ivan Quackenbush, Joe, Stella McCauley, Ellen and Remi Gosselin.

He is survived by: his children, Michael (Cathy), Patricia and John; his grandchildren, Justin, Cody and Emily; his great grandchild Daniel; his cousin Annie Tonkovic; his close friend Eddy Hreljac; and his friend Sonny Gowalko.

Face masks are mandatory.

In lieu of flowers please consider expressing your sympathy by making a donation to the Ottawa Heart Institute; Dialysis unit at the Sudbury Regional Hospital; or a charity of your choice. Walter was a strong advocate and ambassador for organ donation awareness.
