He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gemmell and Allie Gemmell (Crawley); his wife Mary-Lou "Tiger" Gemmell (Allen); his daughter Christine; and his siblings, Don, Joan Burton (Bob), Alice Gibson (Frank) and Judith.
He is survived by: his friends, Carmen, Dean, Frank and Albert; his daughters, Sandra (Doug) of Sudbury and Jo-Anne (Rick) of Sudbury; his grandchildren, Michael, Allie, Patrick, Nathan, Delaney, Nicholas, Riley, Chloe, Mia and Josee; his sister Karen (Jerry) of Ottawa; and his brother-in-law Frank Gibson. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.
