He was predeceased by: his wife Frances; his father Max (Jenny); and his sons, Douglas (Gail), William Jr. (Paula) and Michael of Sudbury.
He is survived by: his sister Marie Hadden of Calgary; his children, Anne Marie (Milton Tackaberry) of Ottawa and Christopher (Lynne) of Peterborough; his grandchildren, Amy Matthew (Shane Phillips), Paul (Nora), Phillip, Brett (Anne), Adam (Melanie), Allison Kyle (Arthur Robillard) and Taylor (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Lynden, Larkin, Lenny, Emmett, Cole, Madelyn, Nora, Elyse, Camille and Benjamin. He is also survived by three brothers.
