It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elva Mary Dahms (Sunderland, Ontario), who passed away on January 21, 2026, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Bickell and Katie Bickell (Wires); her husband Alfred "Fred" Dahms; her son Richard Southern; and her siblings, Alma McMillan (Clifford), John Bickell (Doreen), Audrey Langman (Edward), Joseph Bickell (Joanne) and George.
She is survived by: her children, Lorene Marquis (Robert) of Sunderland, Kathryn Stemp of Uxbridge, Douglas Southern of Oshawa and Tim Southern (Kellie) of Sunderland; her siblings, Ruth Shaw (late Ray), Katherine Langman (George), Helen Vanderlans (Bart) and Don Bickell (late June); her niece Arlene; and her extended family Red Hat Society of Patrick's Day.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Andrew's United Church (10 Church St N, Sunderland, ON L0C1H0).
