John Redmond Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Adrian Redmond, who passed away on March 24, 2026, at the age of 74.

John was the eldest and first first-born son of Mary and Elmer Redmond, growing up as the oldest of thirteen children. He carried that role with strength and dedication throughout his life.

He was the beloved husband of Marina for 54 years, a partnership built on enduring love and commitment. He was a proud and devoted father to his daughter Amanda (Jason) and his son Adrian, and a cherished grandfather to Xander and Keeva, who brought him great joy.

John was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Elmer Redmond; his siblings Gary, Joanne, Maggy, Marian, Roy, and Shirley; and his son, Adrian.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Marina, his daughter and son son-in -law, his grandchildren, his siblings and extended family including his brothers brothers- and sisters sisters-in -law: Dennis (Barb), Sharon (Don), Mark (Denise), Karl (Sylvia), Freda, Kim (Billy), and Karen (Al).

A dedicated and hardworking man, John was the owner and operator of A A-1 for over 50 years. Through his work, he made a lasting impact on his community, supporting and mentoring over 300 co co-op students throughout his career.

John was also a long long-standing member of Scouts Canada for over 40 years, where he helped guide and inspire generations of young people. His passion for community and camaraderie extended to his role as a founding member of the Rock & Roll Classics Car Club.

John will be remembered for his dedication to family, his commitment to his community, and the lasting influence he had on those whose lives he touched.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
