Lu-Ann Gail McQuillan Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mom Lu-Ann (age 70) on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Providence Care Hospital (PCH) in Kingston, after a brief but brave battle with cancer. Lu-Ann is predeceased by her parents George and Iona Campbell and her infant brother Dale. She is survived by her long-time partner Bob LaPlante, her children Crystal and Shaun (Sara) McQuillan, her grandchildren Cole and Caylee Blakely, and her brother Brent (Annie). Campbell along with their children Blair, Jody and Christy and their families. She will be lovingly remembered by the extended Campbell, Lake, Morton and McQuillan families.
A sincere appreciation to the staff on Davies 3, Davies 5, and Connell 10 at Kingston Health Sciences Centre, the Cancer Centre of Eastern Ontario and the Providence Transitional Care Centre for the excellent care provided to mom over the last few months. Words cannot express how grateful we are to the palliative care team and the staff of Heritage 2 at PCH. Special thanks to nurse Angela, who cared for mom and our entire family with the greatest empathy, care and compassion during the final few days of her journey.
Family and friends will be welcome at Trousdale Funeral Home on Friday August 8, 2025 from 2P.M. – 4P.M. and 7P.M. – 9P.M. Funeral service will be held at 11A.M. on Saturday August 9, 2025 at 11A.M. Interment to follow at Latimer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Providence Care Hospital (Heritage 2).
