Rev. Oscar Wilfred Simpson passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, in his 90th year, surrounded by loving family at home "traded two lungs for two wings".

Husband to "sweetie" of 69 years Eleanor (née Wart). Cherished father of Daniel (Sharlene), Catherine, and Christopher (Louise). Proud grandfather to Jordan, Christopher, Amanda, Laura, Nicole, Jamee, Kristina, Kourtnie, and Olivia. Adored "GG" to greatgrandchildren Grayson, Vivian, Selah, Caspian, Kiptyn, Tob, Calihan, and Claire.

Ordained with Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and The Free Methodist Church in Canada, Oscar was Pastor and Associate in multiple churches in Ontario, "marrying, burying, and carrying generations".

Oscar founded and was Director of Kingston Youth for Christ. Verona Free Methodist Church pastor and founder of "Country Church". Known for humour, kindness, playfulness, and warmth, he lived by: "Be happy, live long and be kind" Celebration of Life February 28, 2026 11:00 am Verona Free Methodist Church.
