He was predeceased by: his siblings-in-law, Mary Herron, Morris Weppler and Charlie Kelly; and his parents, Harold Herron and Viola Herron (Byers).

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Brittney (Trevor), Trevor, Abigail, Daniel, Tyler, Lucas, Felix, Matthieu, Dean and Grace; his great grandchildren, Barrett and Beckham; his siblings, Ross of Owen Sound, Mary Miller (Ian) of Sauble Beach, Elmer (Doris) of Tara and Ann Kelly of Port Elgin; and also, Jane Herron, Steve Herron (Roslyn Fancy) of Tara, Alan Herron (Rita) of Hamilton, Mary-Anne Paiement (Sebastien) of Kitchener, Joe Herron (Amanda) of Tara, Nancy Robinson, Nicole Ruff (Dan) of Tara, Scot Robinson (Lacey Schafer) of Tara, Axl, Gemma, Lexton and Chandler.

A procession will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Herron. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Tara Legion.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Brightshores Health System Owen Sound Foundation or Tara Smokeeaters Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
