It is with sadness that the passing of Bertha McLelland of Tara, Ontario is shared. Bertha passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Erwyn Rody; her grandson Lane Rody; and her parents, Bruce Blakey and Eleanor Blakey. She is survived by: her husband Rodger; her sons, Kevin Rody (Twylia) of Edmonton, AB and Benjamin McLelland (Mandy) of Stratford; her grandchildren, Austin, Heaven, Jaydon, Navah, Donavan, Madelynn and Kyler; her brothers, Tom Blakey (Jackie) of Flesherton and Harry Blakey (Christine) of Orillia; and her siblings-in-law, Linda Skene (John) of Colborne, Dianne McLelland of Tara, Laurie Meyer (Al) of Elmira and Ron McLelland of Paisley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Rhody Family Funeral Home (65 4th St SW, Chesley, ON N0G 1L0). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Make a donation.
