With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fern Elizabeth Leis (Tavistock, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 11, 2026 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Elmer Yantzi; and her in-laws, Clarence and Alice Leis (Gerber). She is survived by: her husband Galen Leis; her daughter Bethany (Trevor Kropf); her grandchildren, Owen, Kyra and Brendan Leis (Sheryl); her great grandchildren, Alexis of Tavistock, Noah of Tavistock and Hudson of Tavistock; her grandchildren, Chantelle (Bryan McNeish) of Tavistock and Candace (Adam Bean); her great grandchildren, John, Allie-Mae, Angus, Johanna and Amos; her mother Elma Yantzi of Tavistock; her siblings, Paul (Emily Yantzi), Arnold (Mary Ellen Yantzi), Shirley (Philip Ruby), Margaret (Larry Jantzi), Janet (Dale Zehr), Gloria (Gerry Cober), Betty (Dan Zehr) and Becky (Geoff Gerber); and her in-laws, Elaine, Earl Leis, Marilyn, James Cressman, Glenn, Audrey Leis, Kevin and Delores Leis.
In lieu of flowers, donations to East Zorra Mennonite Church or the Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated by the family.
