He is survived by : his wife Marilyn Richmond; his children, Carol Houlton (Scott), Barbara Richmond (Ray) and John Richmond (Stephanie); and his daughter-in-law Janet Cook. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He enjoyed a long and successful career in industrial engineering at General Motors, where he made significant contributions to the company and forged lasting friendships with his colleagues.
