He is survived by: his wife Donna; his sons, Brad Bates, Mark Bates (Becky) and Todd Bates; his grandchildren, Brittany (Devin), Morgan, Megan (Shayne) and Ryan (Jennifer); his great grandchildren, Wesley and Paxton; and his siblings, Marilyn, Barbara, Nancy and Barry. He is also survived by nephews, extended family, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Thamesford Community Centre (85 Middleton St, Thamesford, ON N0M2M0). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
