He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Abraham James and Edith Whitson; his grandmothers, Margaret Paul and Ann Russell; his sister Dianne (Paul); his friends, Westinghouse and Limeridge Mall; his daughter Stephanie; his grandson James; his son-in-law Sean; his granddaughter-in-law Brittany; his friends, Tom, Keith, Paul and Reno; his grandchildren, Claire, Amelia and Henry; his in-laws, Martha and Reno; his pet Kacee; and his cousins, Stephanie and James. He was also cherished by extended family, including his sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to cancer research, or to simply pour yourself a rum and cranberry and have a drink in his memory.
