The passing of John Alexander McCaig (Thessalon, Ontario) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 15, 2026 at the age of 94. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife June McCaig; his siblings, Audrey Marriott, Francis MacKay and Max McCaig; and his parents, Donald McCaig and Alexina McCaig.
He is survived by: his brother Don McCaig; his sons, Al (Kerri), Grant (Jill) and Sam (Diane); his grandchildren, Alissa (Jason), Jamie (Reichelle), Andrea (Jeff), Alison (Kyle), Cassandra (Jason) and Clint (Kyrie); and his great grandchildren, Grayson, Lachlan, Hope, Fischer, Hudson, Oliver, Landon, Kylie, Sawyer, Ellie and Violet.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Beggs Funeral Home (175 Main St, Thessalon, ON P0R1L0). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
