He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ronald Cox and Margaret Velma White; and his siblings, Barbara Osburn, James Cox, Irene Hendry and Katherine Ann Rawn.

He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his children, Sherry Pfeffer (Wayne) of Thornbury and Terry Cox (Sherald) of Milton; his grandchildren, Jameson Pfeffer (Jordan), Paige Romano (Matt) and Aidan Cox; his brother William Cox (Karen) of Collingwood; and his sister-in-law Margaret Murphy (Wilfrid) of Owen Sound.
