Douglas Trudgeon Obituary
We announce the death of Douglas Trudgeon of Thorndale, Ontario, who passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 81. Douglas will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Trudgeon and Anna Trudgeon; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Tompkins and Barb Trudgeon. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Amy Phillipo (Eddie), Brent Trudgeon (Megan), Sarah Auger (Phil), Tessa Ellis (Nathan), Keely Cockburn (Jordan), Jillian Gillies (David) and Paige van den Dam (Tim); his grandchildren, Odessa, Grace, Elyse, Isaiah, Briar, Sadie, Finn, Ryland, Benjamin, Clive, Damen, Florence, Lachlan, Vivian, Judah, Merritt, Theo, Luke and Quinn; and his siblings, Donald Trudgeon and Darlene Tompkins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home (1997 Dundas St, London, ON N5V1P6). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ridgeview Community Church (1470 Glenora Dr, London, ON N5X1V2).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a memorial donation to honour Doug's lifelong love for horses to SARI Therapeutic Riding located in Arva, Ontario.
