He was predeceased by: his brother Jack (Laura Kirk). He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his children, Robert (Jill Krakauer), Lianne Krakauer (Kevin Towers), Shulamit Krakauer, Daniel Krakauer (Claire Hurley) and Joel Krakauer; his sibling Faigie (Bernie Ditchik); and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Charlotte and Aliyah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
