He was predeceased by : his grandchildren, Keira, Gillian, Brittany, Brad, Vanessa and Charlotte; his siblings, Erwin and Freda; and his sister-in-law Lily.

He is survived by : his wife Anna; his children, Karen (late Phil), Karl (Lorraine) and Paul (Lana); his brothers, Alex and Ron (Marleene); and his sister-in-law Lucinda. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sonny's memory to the Parkinson's Foundation.
