She was predeceased by : her husband Jorge. She is survived by : her sons, Edward (Maria Helena) and John (Sandy); her grandchildren, Melissa (Hugo Da Silva), Jessica (Michael Pereira), Wyatt and Wellesley (Ryan Roffey); and her great grandchildren, Mateo, Gabriel, Victoria, Amalia and Lisbon.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Maria's memory to the Alzheimer Society.
