It is with sadness that the passing of Samir Jamil Jammal (Thornhill, Ontario) is shared. Samir, born on January 16, 1937, passed away on October 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Samir will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honour Samir by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Samir is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Samir’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jamil Jammal and Fairuz Jammal; his wife Fadwa; his children, Hani, Ghassan and Hadi (Melisa); and his grandchildren, Layla and Luca. He was also cherished by his family, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:15 PM at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home (211 Langstaff Rd E, Thornhill, ON L3T3Z6). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Chapel of St. Joseph at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home (211 Langstaff Rd E, Thornhill, ON L3T3Z6).
