He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Garshowitz and Sarah Garshowitz (Borovoy); and his siblings, Lloyd (Thelma), Joe (Kay), William (Yetta), Marion (Harry Levy), Ruth (Saul Lewis), Kay (Pat Caplan), Irene (Martin Hershberg), Esther (Al Shecter), Margaret (Seymour Ludwig) and Goldie (Harry Robbins).
He is survived by: his wife Libby (Mandel); his children, Hartley (Fran), Ira (Irit) and Aliza (Roy Legge); his grandchildren, Paula (Seth Harlan), Jared, Gil, Ron, Dan, Lia, Shannon (Jeremy Cowan), Amber and Mason; his great grandchildren, Sierra and Airow; and also Pearl.
