It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sophie Darmaga (Thornhill, Ontario), who passed away on March 23, 2026, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mieczyslaw Siwiec and Marianna Gronek; her significant other Edward Darmaga (Ed); her sister Stella Bajac; her sister-in-law Ella Siwiec; her brother Edward Siwiec (Teddy); her daughters, Marcia French, Janice Jackowski and Nancy Langer; her grandchildren, Brendon Langer and Courtney Langer; her son-in-law Howie French (Jayne); her granddaughter Kaitlyn French (Dwayne); her son-in-law George Jackowski; her grandchildren, Damian Jackowski (Ann), Austin Jackowski (Gabby), Wyatt Jackowski and Rachelle Mac Sweeney (Garrett); and her great grandchildren, Sophia, Garrett Jr. and Madeline. She was also cherished by nephews, their children, and many extended family and close friends.
