It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Doppelhofer (Thorold, Ontario), who passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alfred Doppelhofer to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his grandchildren, Molly and Luke; his parents, Friedrich and Josefine; and his sisters, Elfi, Maria and Christl.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Sue Weiprecht (late Uli), Rick (Colleen) and Karen Sammutt (Toby); and his grandchildren, Jake, Cadence, Rylee and Trista.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pleasantview Funeral Home (2000 Merrittville Hwy., Thorold L0S1E6). A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Pleasantview Memorial Gardens (2250 ON-20, Fonthill, ON L0S1E6). A reception will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at the Pleasantview Funeral Home (2000 Merrittville Hwy., Thorold L0S1E6).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association, Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society would be deeply appreciated.
