He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, André and Élizabeth; his siblings, Anne (Elvino), Louis (Cécile), Isidore (Thérèse), Gabriel (Claire), Colette (Léo), Raymond (Helen), Bernadette (Ivan), Alma (Armand), Andrée (Rhéaume), Robert (Shirley) and Hélène (Donald); his stepgrandson Michael; his significant other Dyan Gauthier; Patches. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in François's memory may be made to the: Canadian Cancer Society, OTMH Palliative Care Unit, or the Alzheimer Society.
