He was predeceased by: his wife Marguerite "Margo"; his daughter Rosanna Hunt; his parents, Assunta and Pasquale; his siblings, Anna, Tonino, Cesare (Lola) and Sauro; and his son-in-law John Hunt.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Barb), Robert (Chizuru) and Teresa Loney (Ken); his grandchildren, Deanna Shalala (JP), Andrew Hunt (Kendra), Stacey Gagliardi (Adam), Amy and Erica Battista; his sons, Jack, Brian and Justin Loney; his great grandchildren, Gracie, Rayna, Hendrix and Eli; and his in-laws, John and Agnes TeDesco. He is also survived by his cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bocchinfuso Funeral Home (2 Regent St, Thorold, ON L2V 1T1). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church (21 Queen St S, Thorold, ON L2V3M7).
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Thorold on Thursday October 22, at 11:00 a.m. In John's memory, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (https://app-hsfdonation.heartandstroke.ca) would be appreciated by the family.
