She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Mike Matwijow; her parents, Alexander Rae and Elizabeth Rae; her brothers, George Rae, James Rae and Alexander Rae; her daughters, Lisa Bisson (Gord) and Cheryl Lemmex (Andrew); her grandchildren, Benjamin Bisson, Ryan Lemmex and Hilary Kirkham (Kade); her great-grandparents, Aloise, Aurora, Brooklyn, Leah, Devyn and Rayah; her niece Kirstie Hainey; her sisters-in-law, Emily Winnicki and Mary Masi; her friend Ann Murdoch; her cousin Mary Sinclair Edwards; Isabel. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Pleasantview Funeral Home (2000 Merrittville Hwy., Thorold, ON L0S1E6). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada will be appreciated by her family.
