He was predeceased by : his son Johnny Rubick (Jenn); his sibling Milly Rakich (late Mike); his brother-in-law John Benedikty (Shirley); his former life partner Irene; his wife Fern; his parents, Robert and Mary; and his stepfather Mane.

He is survived by : his daughters, Patricia McClashie (Mike) and Sandra Granado (Ricardo); his grandchildren, Michael, Calina and Emily; his nieces and nephews, Erica, Cherie, Sarah, Carter, Rachel, Johnny and Vicki; his cousin Shelly; his extended family, Walter Ostanek (late Irene), Cheryl and Ricky; and his friends, Lyon, Don, Carol, Marie and Azeem.

For those who wish, donations to the War Amps would be the charity of his choice as he was also an avid collector of the War Amps key tags.
