He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Mottola and Rosa Mottola; and his siblings, Murray Mottola (Mary), Betty Harpes (Jim), Guido Mottola (Stephanie), Alma Dickerson (Jim), Alfred Mottola (Carol) and Julio Mottola.

He is survived by: his wife Carmela; his children, Alicia MacMillan (Ken), Peter Mottola (Jessica) and Justyne Baldassarro (Dan); his grandchildren, Tanyon, Camdyn, John, Nicolina, Annabella, Kaydynce, Vincenzo and Carmela; his siblings, Jean Hetherington (Ken) and Peter Mottola (Judy); and his siblings-in-law, Anthony Conte (Roseann), Mary Rees (Richard) and Pina McDonnell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Pleasantview Funeral Home (2000 Merrittville Hwy., Thorold, ON L0S1E6). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.

Memorial donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre or Hospice Niagara will be appreciated by his family.
