Maaike Bervoets-Baas Obituary

In loving memory of Maaike Bervoets-Baas (Thorold, Ontario), who departed this world on May 1, 2026 at the age of 95. Maaike leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leendart (Johanna) and Holland; her sister Jacoba; her former husband Gerrit Baas (Pieter Bervoets); and her grandson Christian Pieter Zonneveld.

She is survived by: her husband Pieter Bervoets; her children, John (Diane), Perry, Dorothy (Michael), Leonna and Mark; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Spencer, Wesley, Jessica, Deanna, Jared, Jason and Nicole; and her siblings, Peter and Coby Stavinga. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Vineyard Canadian Reformed Church of Lincoln (4628 John St, Beamsville, ON L0R1B1).
