He was predeceased by: his former wife Nancy Simmonds; and his parents, Harry Simmonds and Micky Simmonds. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Jannette Chambers (Greg), Rebecca Sherwood (Nathan), Jason Simmonds (Teresa), Patrick Simmonds (Jessica), Christopher Simmonds and Katie McPherson (Shane); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Jacob, Madeline, Joshua, Mark, Addison, Aubrey, Jameson and Calvin; his brothers, Ronald Simmonds (Janice) and Owen Simmonds (Leslie); and his siblings-in-law, Mike Ford (Mary), Margaret Coughlin (Peter), Fred Ford, Loretto Woods (late Jim), Denis Ford (Silvana), Kevin Ford (Ann) and Danny Ford (Maureen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
