He was predeceased by: his significant other Betty; his daughter Linda Nymeyer; and his siblings, Dorothy, Violet, Gladys, Carol, Irene, Gordon, Bill and Raymond.
He is survived by: his daughters, Denice Mantesso (Ron), Kathy Tellier (late Gene) and Janet Goss (Roger); his grandchildren, Vanessa, Jennifer, Allisa (Tom), Jay (Shannon), Jessica (Kyle), Mike, Ron (Denise) and Jen; his great grandchildren, Star, Hailey, Tristen and Casey; and his great great grandchildren, Rae and Elliott. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Melvin's name to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
