He was predeceased by: his parents, Constantin Rosu and Salomea Rosu. He is survived by: his spouse Ioana; his children, Doina Rosu, Romeo (Joe) and Laurentiu Rosu (Julie); his grandchildren, Raquel (Ian), Dante and Renee; and his siblings, Ion Rosu and Alexandru Rosu (Adi).
