He was predeceased by: his wife Penny; his parents, Fred and Kathleen; and his stepfather Nicholas Fenyvesi. He is survived by: his children, Shannon Martin (Hazen), Richard and Mikel Pitt (Tara); his granddaughters, Miranda Sky Pitt (Matt Bereczky), Madison James Moore and Makenzie Jane Moore; and his siblings, Frances, MacLeod, Robert, Frederick Pitt (Doris) and Nancy O'Halloran (Doug).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pleasantview Funeral Home (2000 Merrittville Hwy., Thorold, ON L0S1E6). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Pleasantview Memorial Gardens (2250 ON-20, Fonthill, ON L0S1E6). A reception will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pleasantview Funeral Home (2000 Merrittville Hwy., Thorold, ON L0S1E6).
