Richard Burnett Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Burnett (Thorold, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2026 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Richard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Richard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his mother Kathleen Burnett (Thrasher). He is survived by: his wife Loretta; his children, Jennifer Smith (Jason) and Christopher Burnett (Samantha); his granddaughters, Samantha and Sarah Smith; and his siblings, Susan Burnett (John Thorpe), Cheryl Granton (Paul) and John Burnett (Lora). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pleasantview Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick's memory can be made to West Park Nursing Care.
