Virgilio Gicante Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virgilio Gicante (Thorold, Ontario), who passed away on January 13, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Joseph Gicante; his parents, Vito Gicante and Mary Josephine (Cennamo); his father-in-law Vito Pepe; and his sisters-in-law, Carmela and Emilia (late Vince Biancaniello).

He is survived by: his wife Joanne (Pepe); his children, Mary Jackson, Phyllis Gicante, Sandy Gigante, Gino Gicante (Roni-Sue), Vito Gicante (Roxanne) and Joe Gicante; his grandchildren, Tara (John Epp), Emily (Brandon Timmer), Emilia (Kerron Homeward), Olivia Jackson, Sydney Jackson, Gabriel Jackson, Sandy Gigante Jr., Sabrina Gigante, Amanda (Mike Robinson), Nicholas Gicante, Jordan Gicante and Jasmin Gicante; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Danika, Chayce, Masyn and Mya; his siblings, Carmen Gicante (Maria), Mary Josephine (Nazzareno Grossi) and Domenic Gicante; his parent-in-law Fiorina Pepe; his siblings-in-law, Nancy (Jerry Della Vecchia) and Peter Pepe (Marie); and his uncle Vic. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated.
