He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jenny Tuitert; his children, Henny Van Tuyl (Chris), Linda (Chuck), Jan Willem (Tami) and Mark (Brianna); and his grandchildren, Kirsty, Joshua (Chloe), Katelynn, Cameron, Madison, Emily, Hellayna, Ari, Dante and Apollo.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 21st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pleasantview Funeral Home (2000 Merrittville Hwy., Thorold L0S1E6). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer's society.
