He was predeceased by: his parents, John Geesic and Kathleen Amy Suganaqueb; his sister Mary Quezance (Geesic); his stepsiblings, Russell Tyance and Barbara Tyance; and also, Kathleen Geesic and Stephanie Waboose.
He is survived by: his common-law partner Geraldine Anderson; his children, Sarah Stoney-Anderson, Gabriel Anderson, Alex Jr. Basketwang, Jonathan Geesic and Glenna Neshinapaise; his stepdaughters, Darlene Bighead (Anderson), Hazel Mckoop (Anderson) and Delilah Anderson; his grandchildren, Adele, Gina, Hunter, Serenity, Cameron, Avaya, Avery and Aaliyah; and his siblings, Emily Bull (Roger Bull), Helen Yesno (Harvey Yesno), Arthur Henry Geesic and Evelyn Geesic (Agnes Geesic). He is also survived by his close friends, his family.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jenkens Funeral Home (226 Syndicate Ave S, Thunder Bay, ON P7E1C8). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens (3200 Oliver Rd, Thunder Bay, ON P7G1S9).
