It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Balec (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Frank Poulter; her husband Bing; her sister Ellen Delyea; and her mother Amelia Poulter. She is survived by: her children, Mark (Loralie), Greg (Sandra), Tamara Andreason (Nelson), Kathy DePaulo (Joe) and Laurie Balec; her grandchildren, Natasha (Johnathon), Steve (Sarah), Sara (Kyle), Brooke (Dalton), Nick, Aimee, Mason, Madeline (Matt) and Joey (Brooke); her great grandchildren, Colton, Kalleigh, Braxton and Boyd; her siblings, Frank Poulter (Linda) and Jane Aitken (Bill); her sisters-in-law, Zuzia Klimkowski, Irene Milligan, Amy Balec, Rhona Krowicki and Diane Balec; and her friends, Ginny Ekberg, Florence Rommell, Gail Payette and Kathleen Moore. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests donations be made in Barbara's name to Manor House, Wesway Respite or the Alzheimer's Society.
