Carla Ann Olaechea Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carla Ann Olaechea (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on June 19, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve Stupendick and Mary Harynuk; her brother Randy Stupendick; her parents-in-law, Ricardo Olaechea and Maria Alzugaray; and her siblings-in-law, Jose Olaechea and Pepita Olaechea.

She is survived by: her husband Manuel Olaechea; her daughters, Liz Johnson (Ryan), Natalia Leblanc (Shaun) and Lucia Olaechea; her nephew Cory Stupendick (Krista); and her sisters-in-law, Teresa Olaechea (Celso), Mikeli Olaechea and Conchita Olaechea (Juan-Manuel). She is also survived by brother-in-law.

In Lieu of flowers or other gifts, donations in Carla's memory can be made to TBRHSC Cancer Foundation and the St. Joseph's Foundation.
