It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Alice Ostenrud (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on January 3, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Catherine Alice Ostenrud to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Fritz; her parents, Esther Major and Lawrence Major; and her siblings, Joseph Major, Lois Johnson, Leona Gourley, Bernice Major and Eva King.

She is survived by: her siblings, Tom Major, Wilda Walmark (Ian) and Esther McNabb (Jim); her children, Sheila Gray (David), Sharon Austin (John), Catherine Dagg, Arlene Clair, Anita Ostenrud and Kim Carvalho (Del); and her grandchildren, Nikki, Tricia, Esther, Evan, Samantha, Matthew, Dale, Adam, John-Reese and Lauren. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
