Words of sympathy

George Surdykowski wrote a sympathy message

“I was deeply saddened to learn that Chris had passed. I did not know Chris well, but I came to know something of him during the recent very lengthy and difficult Lakehead University labour arbitration case in which I acted as arbitrator and Chris was counsel for the union. I came to know Chris as a skilled and ethical advocate, and a man of integrity. No one could have done a better job than he with a complex and difficult case. He was also clearly a very good man. I am glad I had the opportunity to meet him and to see him in action. I know he will be missed by everyone who had the good fortune to meet or work with him, even in opposition. My very sincerest condolences to his family. I regret that I am unable to attend the funeral. George Surdykowski”
