He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack and Gladys; his brothers, Bill and Jerry; his parent-in-law Vic Lilley; his siblings-in-law, Marie Caren, Fay Nystrom, Dave Hogan, Peter Varcoe and Sharon Dudura (Caren); and also Jolene Lilley.

He is survived by: his spouse Lynn; his sons, John (Aileen) and Ted (Karen); his grandchildren, Brooklin Caren, Cassie Caren and Ben Belanger (Kellie Rapino); his sisters, Audrey Yaworsky (Julian), Maureen Hogan and Jackie Lalonde (Tim Lawson); his sisters-in-law, Cindy Varcoe and Vicki Onyshkewych (Mike); and his aunt Dorothy Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
