Edwin John Metzler Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin John Metzler (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on October 24, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Metzler and Henry Metzler; his daughter Jo-Anne; his brother Marshall; and the mother of his children Joan.

He is survived by: his wife Beatrice; his son Ward (Maureen); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Bruno (Giovanni), Joseph (Rachel), Michael (Sofia) and Christopher (Laura); his son Patrick (Susana); his grandchildren, Nicolas, Maxim and Neve; his great grandchild Daniel; his sister Helen Shipston; and his niece Christine Sandford (Charles).

In addition to his regional contributions to the trucking industry, he was honoured to serve as President of the Ontario Roads Association.
